Leather Bracer

In Costume Crafts class each student made bracers made from leather to learn how to properly tool, dye, and add grommets and other metal pieces to leather work.
I started by creating a pattern from my wrist and arm length measurements. Once the pattern was created i traced it onto the leather and cut it out with a box cutter.
After cutting out the pattern to make the bracer, I wet the leather and began tooling my design into the dampened leather piece.
Once the tooling was done, and the leather was dry I used antiquing gel to dye the leather.
Once the dye was dry and I had finished sealing the leather; I finally punched the holes into the sides of the Bracer, and added the grommets in them to finish off the project.
